Gambia: Winners of UN Day Radio Competition Receive Prizes

Basiru Sanyang, a 10-old-year student of Tujereng Lower Basic School, and Mariama Baldeh, a 16-year-old of Bakoteh Upper Basic School were on 7 November 2014 awarded gifts by the UN country office as a token of appreciation and encouragement for their participation in the Afri-Radio Competition on UN Day celebration.

Speaking at the presentation held at the UN office, Ms Ade Mamonyane Lekoetje, UN resident coordinator, said as part of the celebration of UN Day, they decided to have a competition in The Gambia.
