Tanzania Asks Foreign Govts to Grant Rwandans Asylum

Tanzania on Saturday (November 8th) called on foreign governments to offer asylum to those acquitted on charges related to the 1994 genocide in Rwanda and those released after serving prison terms, AFP reported.

Tanzania hosts the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR), but the court is scheduled to close at the end of the year.
