Washington, DC — The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) today announced $7 million in funding for the Central African Republic (CAR) Peacebuilding Partnership.
The public-private partnership will support and strengthen locally-led peacebuilding and atrocity prevention efforts in the Central African Republic over the next five years. The Partnership will ensure that donor support is sustained beyond the current crisis, and targeted at empowering inter-religious leaders, as well as women and youth, who are critical players in promoting peace and reconciliation in communities ravaged by violence.
