Algiers — With the Islamic State (ISIS) terror group eyeing the Maghreb and a home-grown offshoot beheading a tourist, Algerian security forces are staying focused on the fight against terrorism.
But since this fight cannot be waged solely on the security front, the foreign ministry is striving to find political solutions to armed conflicts. Algeria is hosting the inter-Malian peace talks and has encouraged warring Libyan factions to participate in a dialogue.
