Kenya: Nairobi Analogue TVs to Go Blank From December 31

Analogue television frequencies in Nairobi will be switched off on December 31 while other parts of the country will migrate to the digital platform by March, Communications Authority director-general Francis Wangusi said yesterday.

Speaking in Nairobi during the official opening of the Commonwealth Broadband Forum 2014, Wangusi said TV owners should buy digital set-boxes before then to avoid being switched off adding that the dates are not negotiable.
