Liberia: Nagbe Descends On Weah and Lawmakers, But...

Monrovia — A stalwart of the ruling Unity Party (UP) Len Eugene Nagbe has descended on the political leader of the opposition Congress for Democratic Change (CDC) George Manneh Weah and some lawmakers, who endorsed his (Weah) candidacy for the Montserrado County Special Senatorial Election.

Mr. Nagbe, who is also Liberia's Youth and Sports Minister, described the endorsement of Mr. Weah as a "pepper kala" endorsement, because according to him, lawmakers who endorsed him (Weah) had initially tried to endorse his challenger, Mr. Robert Alvin Sirleaf for the same purpose, but he (Mr. Sirleaf) refused.
