Ethiopia: Not Just a Hobby

When guests stepped into the classy mall being opened in the heart of Bole behind Edna Mall last Saturday, they were not expecting much with regard to what will be on display - it was not pictures taken by professional photographers.

The new edifice was decorated by photos taken by young amateur photographers joined by a few studio professionals. In fact, well-known photographers were indeed among the guests that day and most of them had limited experiences in joint exhibitions. Many looked enthusiastic as they found themselves among the hundreds walking steadily from one frame to another. Apparently, one can guess how proud the youth would become while explaining their work to visitors. The newly-built mall might appeared attractive in its fine architectural standing, but the first exhibition hosted in it seem to be a more effective promotional tool.
