Seychelles: Unexpected Fog Strands Formula One Fans in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi — An un-forecasted blanket of fog rolled over the United Arab Emirates (UAE) capital city of Abu Dhabi on Sunday night, bringing the city's airport to a grinding halt.

According to a statement from the UAE's national airline, Etihad Airways, the fog grounded 44 early-morning flights and cancelled several others, while 21 inbound flights to the capital coming from various locations, including Colombo, Doha, Kuwait, Dammam, Seychelles and London were diverted to seven regional airports.
