Gambia: Defence Requests for Cost in NIA Deputy Director's Trial

Lawyer LK Mboge, the defence in the trial of publication of false news against the deputy director of Operations at the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Monday requested for cost to be granted by Magistrate Jackline Nixion Hakim against the state, because of their witness's absence.

State prosecutor A Bah, when the case was called informed the Banjul Magistrates' Court that his witness is not a public employee, but a private citizen still in the provinces on personal transactions.
