Liberia: Turning Up Heat - Kaipay, Findley Lead Bassa Campaign Trail

Buchanan — Political campaigning is stepping up a notch in Grand Bassa County, four days since the official start of the special senatorial campaign period was sanctioned by the National Elections Commission, NEC. In Buchanan, the county's capital, the reelection campaign of Senator Gbehzongar Findley is picking up momentum as posters of the candidate are seen on the walls of buildings, while several talk shows are offering platforms for debates amongst candidates' supporters and propagandists.

Findley reelection took an upward swing Monday when two lawmakers of the National Patriot Party (NPP) pledge their party's support to the reelection of the incumbent. Representative George Mulbah and Senator Henry Yallah both of Bong County were on a local radio station to heap praises at Findley for what they consider 'his good leadership ability at the upper house'.
