Nigeria: FG to Generate 30,000mw of Electricity By 2020

Federal Government will generate over 30,000 megawatts of Electricity to sustain further development of all the sectors of Nigerian economy by the year 2020 . Nigeria for now currently generates 4600mw of electricity which is not enough to meet national demand which is rising at geometric progression while supply is crawling at arithmetic sequence.

The Acting Chairman , Presidential Task force on Power, Engineer Clement Oke who dropped the hint at Indigenous Oil Summit held in Lagos yesterday, said that part of energy mix would be sourced from gas , hydro means from Zungeru and Mambilla projects , renewable solar , coal and biomass etc .
