Eritrea: Administrator of Northern Red Sea Region Conducts Inspection of Discovering Archeological Site in Gelao Sub-Zone

Massawa — The Administrator of the Northern Red Sea region, Ms. Tsgereda Weldegergis, along with heads of different departments, has conducted an inspection of archeological sites under identification in Engel Ela area also known as Muluhli Amo.

According to the Culture and Heritage Department of the region, the tour was aimed at inspecting the progress of identification activities by Italian Archeologists and staff of the Eritrean National Museum. In this connection, more than a million-year-old bones of human beings and over 16 animal species have been discovered.
