Polokwane — Two Nigerian men aged 25 and 34, together with a local woman aged 25, were arrested for dealing in drugs in Lephalale in the early hours of Monday morning. Police were tipped off about a woman who was allegedly smuggling drugs in the area. Investigations led the police to a 25-year-old woman who was found in possession of two sealed packets of snacks.

After searching the packets police found 10 rocks of cocaine on one packet and eight rocks on the other. The cocaine is estimated to be at street value of R250 000. The woman, who is from Kempton Park in Gauteng, told the police that she was sent to deliver the goods. A trap was then set for the owners of the drugs and they were arrested few minutes after the seizure of drugs. The three suspects will appear before the Lephalale Magistrate's Court on Wednesday for possession of drugs and more charges are expected.
