Liberia: Terrifying Moment - Electricity Poles Collapse in On Tubman Boulevard in Sinkor

Monrovia — Traders and commercial drivers narrowly escaped death Tuesday afternoon when several high tension wire poles collapsed between 18th and 20th streets in the Sinkor suburb of Monrovia. The situation resulted into several bystanders running for their lives and causing a halt to the normal flow of traffic in the vicinity resulting into huge traffic jam.

Diplomats and visitors at the Ebola call center on nearby 19th street in Sinkor were also surprised to see the embarrassing situation as they stood and captured several photos of the situation. Amongst the diplomats in the country who witnessed the embarrassing situation was World Bank President Dr. Jim Yong Kim, who was visiting the Ebola call center in Monrovia. Jeremiah Goodling, a money exchanger says the Liberian government is not serious in all of their undertakings and programs.
