Tanzania: Authors Urged to Write Stories Interesting to Young Readers

YOUNG authors have been challenged to write contemporary stories on youth to support and motivate the development of supplementary reading materials for a critical stage of learning.

Executive Secretary of the Children's Book Project (CBP), Ms Pili Dumea, said this in Dar es Salaam while announcing the 7th Burt award for African Literature competition, in which the winning authors will be awarded monetary prizes and work with publishers to develop their books for publication.
