Botswana: Deloitte's Project Almost Complete

Gaborone — Parliament has been informed that the Deloitte and Touche Consultancy project on job profiling, job measurement and salary survey at the University of Botswana emanated from an agreement that university unions and university management signed in order to end the Industrial action that occurred in September 2010.

Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development, Dr Unity Dow said in Parliament that the Industrial action had come about as a result of dissatisfaction by unions pertaining to the then proposed university revised salaries structure, which had been informed by the Global Consult Report.
