Nigeria: Can We Cut Keshi Loose Now, Mr. President?

I have deliberately kept quiet since Nigeria's Super Eagles crashed out of next year's Africa Nations Cup billed to hold in Equatorial Guinea after drawing 2-2 with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State late last month.

The reason for my silence (very unusual) after such a major football setback could be attributed to shock. Yes, I have been in shock because come January when citizens of 16 African nations will be glued to their TV sets, some even at different venues in Equatorial Guinea, Nigerians would have to contend with such a drab month like January, facing their economic crisis and a deluge of other internal issues with little or nothing to console them.
