Nigeria: How Christian Leaders Remembered Baba Aladura

Sapele — Although he has been gone for 10 years now, his impacts and achievements still remain, especially amongst those who came in contact with him. This might be the reason for the large turn out of the high and mighty among the Christian community in Nigeria and beyond in Oghara, Ethiope West Delta State, to celebrate and extol the late Dr. G.I.M. Otubu, also known as the Baba Aladura, who they described as one of the most influential religious leaders of all time.

During the memorial thanksgiving service, ministers like the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) president, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, described him as a charismatic leader, who worked closely with other church leaders to reorganise CAN.
