Nigeria: Arik Air Makes Top 100 Companies in Nigeria

8 December 2014

Arik Air has been adjudged one of the top 100 Nigerian companies, thus becoming the only aviation company and the youngest organisation to attain such feat as it just marked its eight years in operation. For making the top 100 businesses in Nigeria, President Goodluck Jonathan hosted Arik Air and the other organisations on the top 100 businesses to a dinner in Abuja last week.

These companies, according to the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, are the major organisations that shaped the nation's economic agenda and provided the means to fast tracking investments and employment in the country. The ministry said the top 100 businesses would give government a sense of trends in the labour market, the financing markets, the investment climate and others. The Managing Directed of the airline, Chris Ndulue told THISDAY that he was excited about the rating, considering the fact that Arik Air was the only aviation company that was shortlisted, noting that it made the list of top 100 companies at its eight years of operation which is unprecedented.
