Health facilities and private ambulance services operating in Arusha and other parts of the country have been ordered to stop painting their premises, sign-boards and vehicles with cross emblems bearing red colors against white backgrounds.
Speaking to journalists in Arusha last week, officials from the Tanzania Red Cross Society (TRCS) ordered all hospitals, health centres , dispensaries and drug stores in the country that have been flaunting 'red cross' emblems on their premises and vehicles to stop using the logos immediately.
