Sudan: North Darfur Displaced Unable to Pay 'National Number' Fees

Abu Shouk Camp — The displaced of Abu Shouk camp in El Fasher locality, North Darfur, complain about the imposition of fees for a national number.

A resident of the camp told Radio Dabanga that the Darfur Regional Authority (DRA) informed them that they would obtain the national number for free. "Yet, the civil registry administration that began its work in the camp last Wednesday, told us on Friday that we have to pay SDG30 ($5)."
