Tanzania: Local Banks to Get Sh8.7 Billion Loan From EU

THREE local banks are part of several financial institutions which will benefit from 5m euros (over 8.7bn/-) technical support credit from European Investment Bank (EIB) aimed at promoting viable banking practices.

In a statement on Wednesday, EIB named CRDB Bank Plc, NMB Bank Plc and Bank of Africa Tanzania as among beneficiaries of the loan which also covers other banks in Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda which have benefited from its financial support before.
