Brussels — Lyes Salem's feature film "El Wahrani" (native of Oran) was awarded on Friday the Grand Jury Prize at the 14th Brussels Mediterranean Film Festival, held from 5 to 12 December in the Belgian capital, the site of the festival announces.
This 120-minute film recounts the story of two friends and camarades, Hamid and Jafar, who find themselves at the end of the National Liberation War to build, at their respective levels, independent Algeria.
