Gambia: NAMs, Others Trained On Social Protection

The Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with the United Nation Development Fund (UNDP) and UNICEF Thursday began a three-day training on child sensitive social protection for the National Assembly Members, government ministries and other relevant partners.

The training that was held at the Coco Ocean Hotel was meant to raise awareness and strengthen knowledge of the National Assembly Members among others on social protection focusing on multi-dimensional and child poverty, role of social protection in eradicating poverty and contributing to economic growth, basic knowledge on costing and resource planning.
