Nigeria: Adeyemi College Students Laud Provost for Averting Crisis

THE Provost of Adeyemi College of Education (ACE) Ondo, Professor Olukoya Ogen, has been commended for forestalling what could have turned out to a violent disruption of academic activities and blood-letting in the college when students of the institution recently protested the killing of two students crushed by a reckless motorist, close to the college gate.

The institution's Students Union Government (SUG) President, Isiaka Kamarudeen and chairman of the Lagos chapter of the institution's Alumni Association, Dr. Damien Ademulegun, made the commendation while acknowledging what they described as "the un-common leadership quality deployed by the provost" to calm down the students who had taken over part of the Ondo-Ore road close to the college gate.
