Nigeria: FG Directs Discos to Patronise Local Meter Manufacturers

The Federal Government has directed all Electricity Distribution Companies, Discos, in the country to patronise local manufacturers in line with the policies put in place by government, designed to strengthen local content development and accelerate growth of the industrial sector.

Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Olusegun Aganga, made this call at a one day stakeholders' forum on meter/transformer manufacturing in Nigeria, organised by the Federal Ministry of Industry, in collaboration with Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, in Abuja.
