The Security Laws (Amendment) Bill 2014 negates the Bill of Rights and related provisions in the constitution that Kenyans overwhelmingly voted for on August 4, 2010.
Some provisions related to the Public Order Act, the Penal Procedure Code and the Evidence Act are being amended to give the state and security agencies excessive powers to oppress Kenyans.
