In Nigeria, meat is an essential part of our meal; ceremonies are not complete if meat is absent. This factor has made the country one of the largest consumer of animal products such as chicken-meat, beef, mutton and other related products such as milk, and animal skin and hide.

The potential in the animal subsector of the nation's agriculture is huge and offers many opportunities to Nigerians doing small-scale agribusiness in the country.
