Liberia: Gov't Tightening Screw On Cockrum's Extradition

Monrovia — The Government of Liberia(GOL) through the Minister of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism (MICAT), Lewis G. Brown, has disclosed that efforts are ongoing in the United States of America(USA) for the extradition of Mayor Ellen Cockrum to face corruption charges in Liberia.

Corkrum, a US-based Liberian female pilot, was given the task of revamping the Roberts International Airport(RIA), but she allegedly attempted to defraud the Liberian government of nearly a quarter million United States dollars.
