Maputo — The volume of trade between Mozambique and China rose from 1.64 billion US dollars in 2013 to 2.94 billion so far this year, according to Chinese ambassador Li Chunhua.
Speaking on Wednesday at a photographic exhibition on the results of commercial and economic cooperation between the two countries, Li said that Mozambican exports to China between January and October this year surpassed the one billion dollars mark. China has now become Mozambique's third most important trading partner (after South Africa and the European Union).
