Tunisia, Mercosur Sign MOU On Economic and Trade Co-Operation

Tunis — Tunisia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on economic and trade co-operation with Mercosur countries (Latin America common market) also called the "Common Market of the South," one of the most important economic communities in the world, the Foreign Ministry reported.

The agreement, signed on December 16 during the 47th ministerial meeting for the group held in the city of Parana, Argentina, paves the way for the establishment of a free trade zone between Tunisia and Mercosur, said Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Argentina, Hector Temerman, whose country chairs the South American Community Nations.
