Tunis, — The Economist has elected Tunisia "Country of the Year 2014 for its successful peaceful democratic transition and for the "symbolism" it represents in "Arab Spring" countries.
After Uruguay, Country of the Year 2013, the weekly magazine elected Tunisia, this year, for the political maturity shown by its leaders and its people, highlighting that "after adopting in 2014 a new constitution, Tunisia, held two elections, parliamentary and presidential polls."
