Nigeria: Candidates Urged to Accept PDP Cross River Outcome

Abuja — A GROUP of concerned citizens in the Cross River State warned individuals against subverting the will of the People's Democratic Party members following the party's primary elections in the state.

The group, in statement issued in Abuja, signed by Professor Nicholas Damachi, Maurice Ekpang, Lekam Okoi, Eyo Nsa Whiley and Elder Okim, urged those who lost out in the primaries to accept the outcome in the spirit of sportsmanship and allow peace to reign, and not overheat the polity.
