Nigeria: Kwara Seeks N4 Billion Refund On FG Road Projects

Ilorin — The Kwara State government has appealed to the federal government to refund N4 billion outstanding from its intervention in the Kosubosu road project in Baruten LGA by the previous state administration.

The call came after a State Executive Council meeting presided over by Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed last Tuesday. The state government has often complained about the federal government's failure to reimburse it after intervening in federal road projects. It would be recalled that the state government recently flagged-off the construction of the 64km Kaiama/Kishi road, another federal road.
