Jos — The Plateau State Police Command says it is mopping up illegal arms among other measures while INEC says it is constituting inter-agency consultative committees on election security at the local government level to sensitise voters on peaceful elections.
The two institutions said at a community meeting jointly organised in Jos yesterday by a non-governmental organisation, Search for Common Ground (SFCG) and the state government that the measures were aimed at facilitating peaceful, free and fair elections in the countdown to and throughout the 2015 elections.
