Nigeria: Rights Body Canvasses Non-Oil Revenue Drive in 2015 Budgets

FOLLOWING the emphasis on non-oil revenue in the 2015 Federal Budget now before the National Assembly, the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) has tasked the Federal Government on measures for non-oil exports, which revenue could remedy the continued drop in oil prices that could derail the budget's implementation.

X-raying the budget, TAN noted that the Federal Government was right in taking cognizance of the continued drop in oil earnings in mapping immediate strategies to raise funds outside the oil sector, describing it as welcome and a huge boost to the fact that President Goodluck Jonathan's Transformation Agenda is about the wellbeing of citizens.
