Nigeria: Niger APC Reps Candidate Denies With Drawing From Race

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Agaie/Lapai Federal Constituency for the 2015 House of Representatives election Mohammed Abdulkadir Mahmud has dismissed rumours that he has withdrawn from the race. In a statement yesterday, Mahmud said he remained in the race, calling on his supporters to disregard any information that he is no longer vying for the seat after picking the party's ticket.

He said he would not disappoint the people of his constituency who nominated him unopposed at the party's primary. To do so, he said would be an act of betrayal and a political suicide capable of ending his political career.
