Nigeria: Christmas - Pray Against Volatile Religious Differences in Nigeria - Gov Aliyu

The chairman of Northern States Governors Forum (NSGF) and governor of Niger State, Dr Mu'azu Babangida Aliyu, has described Christmas as a significant occasion for Christians to offer prayers for Nigeria over the volatile ethno-religious cleavages in the country.

In a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Israel Ayegba Ebije, the chairman of the forum said the festive period should be dedicated to peace and love toward achieving collective developmental aspirations, which is sacrosanct if Nigeria must remain united and prosperous.
