Algeria: Mobile Telephony - 3G Service Covers 39 Provinces of Algeria

Algiers — 39 provinces out of the 48 of Algeria are currently covered by the service 3G of the mobile telephony one year following the launch of this technology, said Monday President of the Authority of Regulation of Post and Telecommunications (ARPT), Mohamed Toufik Bessaï.

Thirty-nine provinces are covered by at least one operator, 17 of them are covered simultaneously by two operators, and 10 are covered simultaneously by the three operators: the state-owned Mobilis and private operators Ooredoo and Djezzy, Bessai said in an interview with APS.
