Tunisia: Cold Wave - Situation in Affected Areas and Measures to Address It Under Focus

Carthage — The situation in areas affected by the cold wave in Jendouba, Kef, Siliana and Kasserine and measures taken to address it were discussed on Friday at a meeting that President Beji Caid Essebsi had with Minister of the Interior, Lotfi Ben Jeddou.

According to a press release from the Presidency of the Republic, Ben Jeddou highlighted the efforts of the ministries of equipment, agriculture and national defence as well as the civil defence to cope with the damage caused by the wave of cold, including the reopening of most national and regional snowy roads. Some other traffic links still blocked were to be cleared in the day.
