Nigeria: NGO Organises Free Medicare for Indigent Abia Rural Dwellers

Umuahia — An Umuahia-based non-governmental organisation called 'Brother's Keeper' has commenced free medical treatment for indigent rural dwellers in Abia State.

The coordinator of the programme, Dr. Hyginius Ogbonna, told Daily Independent at the weekend that at least 4,000 patients were expected to_ benefit from the first phase, which began on Friday.
