Zimbabwe: Attempts to Depose Elected Mutare Leadership an Act of Madness

press release

The MDC dismisses with the contempt it deserves, attempts by Zanu PF to create a parallel council in Mutare comprising war veterans, in direct violation of the people's right to elect a leadership of their choice.

While Zanu PF rigged the last election, it wants to further decimate the people's choice by setting up a parallel structure comprising the so called Manicaland provincial affairs minister, Mandi Chimene and war veterans to do the work of council.
