Tunis, — The report of the World Bank (WB) group's Global Economic Prospects (GEP), expected, Tuesday, a slight increase of economic growth in the region of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), in 2015 (from 1.2% in 2014) to reach gradually 3.5% in 2017.
The bi-annual report revealed that the economies of the MENA region appear to be stabilising, although growth remain "fragile" after years of turmoil. Growth in oil-importing countries was broadly flat in 2014 (like Tunisia), while activity in oil-exporting countries recovered slightly after contracting in 2013", the document indicates.
