Nigeria: How Issue of Displaced Persons May Mar Polls, By Uwais

Abuja — FORMER Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) and Chairman, Committee for the Review of the Electoral Law in 2007, Justice Mohammed Lawal Uwais has raised the alarm on the possibility of a problem in the conduct of the February polls arising from the issue of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

He, therefore, called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to prevail on the National Assembly to amend the Electoral Act before February 14.
