Kenya: Two Held Hostage As They Stop FGM in Narok

A women's leader and a human rights activist who tried to rescue girls from female genital mutilation were held hostage by residents of Sikawa,Trans Mara West subcounty, in Narok on Thursday.

Subcounty Maendeleo ya Wanawake chair Hellen Katim and Mary Tampushi were accompanied by police officers from Kilgoris police station.
