Ghana: Basic Salaries for Public Sector Workers Increase By 13 Per Cent, National Minimum Wage By 16.7 Per Cent

The current basic salaries on the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS) have been increased by 13 per cent across board for the year 2015, with effect from January 1, 2015. The effective date for the implementation of the increases is January 1, 2015.

These were contained in a communiqué signed by Mr George Smith-Graham, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC), and Mr Kofi Asamoah, Secretary-General of the Trades Union Congress (TUC).
