Zambia: HH Claims Narrow Victory, Not Ready to Concede Defeat & Seeks ECZ Audience

Hakainde Hichilema, the UPND presidential candidate in the January 20 Presidential Polls, has issued a statement through Dipak Patel claiming a narrow victory over PF Edgar Lungu and suggests the results being announced have been manipulated.

Hichilema's statement suggests he is not ready to concede defeat and has accused PF media chairperson Emmanuel Mwamba of issuing inflammatory statements. Hichilema is also seeking an urgent meeting with ECZ.
