Ghana: Debrah Donates Meat Vans to Tamale, Ho Assemblies

The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, (MLGRD), in collaboration with the Agence Francais de Development (AFD) has donated two refrigerated meat vans to two assemblies to ensure safe and hygienic transportation of meat. The assemblies are Ho and Tamale metropolitan assemblies.

The donation is also part of the Ghana Urban Management Pilot Programme (GUMPP), a joint programme being undertaken by the Government of Ghana with the support from the AFD. The Resident Manager of AFD in Ghana, Amelie July, said in an interview that the whole programme would cost 40.5 million Euros, which is the equivalent of GHc160 million.
