Tunisia Condemns Abduction of Japanese Nationals, Calls for Their Immediate Release

Tunis — Tunisia strongly condemned the abduction of two Japanese nationals who are still held as hostages by terrorist organisations, calling for their immediate release, according to a Foreign Ministry statement made public Friday.

Tunisia expresses full solidarity with the Japanese friendly people and total support to the Japanese government and the families of the two hostages, reiterating rejection of all terrorists acts, "as they are contrary to the humanitarian, moral and legal principles."
