I was taken aback when a long-time friend called to break what he called great news. My mind quickly braced for some mega money success or some news that he was finally going to tie the knot.
To my surprise, however, all he said was "Ochan akomyewo" [Ochan is back]. As I struggled to make sense of what that meant, he hastily added: "Ku luno ekikopo tukyediza" [We are going to defend our title this time.]
